2023 Ironman World Championship Special Documentary
Eight athletes are featured in the 2023 Ironman World Championship Documentary Special, including myself:
Cyril Del Pistoia (FRA) was diagnosed with a severe case of acute leukemia in 2012 and was given a very low chance of survival. Cyril traveled to his birthplace of Nice, France in September to take on the Ironman World Championship triathlon to prove that, as the Ironman logo asserts, “Anything is Possible.”
8 Gripping Stories
Alongside with my story, Lucy Charles-Barclay chases a title that has long eluded her following four previous 2nd-place finishes at triathlon’s pinnacle event. Sam Laidlow looks to to become the youngest winner of the Ironman World Championship.
54 Sports Emmy Nomination
In addition to being a beloved series for triathletes, the documentaries have received critical acclaim, including 54 Sports Emmy nominations and 16 Sports Emmy Award wins since its creation.
2 Hours of Awesomeness
The documentary special will showcase the profiles of the professional and age-group athletes – and this year, there are plenty of stories to make this a truly inspirational watch for triathletes and sports fans.
